A roller coaster first day in British GT, from Josh going fastest in free practice, to a brake line issue in pre quali, meaning no seat time for Bal in time for qualifying. The challenge was looking tough for the team going straight into Qualifying with little track time and different conditions.
In Qualifying 1 Bal put an impressive last lap in to get the team up to P6 in class, this gave Josh a fighting chance to move the car further up the order. Josh put an impressive qualifying stint in to put the car P4 overall, 3 tenths shy off the fastest car. This rounding off the day with a well salvaged P5 in class qualifying.
Lining up in a strong position for Race Day, the team were feeling up for the challenge to fight their way forward in the race. Bal got off to a good start putting the car into P4 in class and maintained good pace in the first half of his stint, until dropping back later on to P7 in class by the time he pitted. Josh hopped straight in at the 1 hour mark and started chipping away 8 tenths a lap to the cars ahead, but unfortunately before he could catch the front cars, the race was neutralised under Full Course Yellow for 30 minutes. This meant Josh only had a 1 lap dash to the chequered flag and ended the race in P6 in class. An impressive debut for the drivers and team in the most competitive GT championship in the UK. "What an incredible experience it was! We walked away with a P6 in Class in the race, with all things considered we are pleased with that😄
