Donington Park GP – Rounds 8, 9 and 10

Next up on the calendar is Donington Park, marking the halfway point in the championship. With 35 points separating Josh from the rest of his competitors in the championship, he was hungry to extend his lead and score some more points.

Friday testing presented wet and dry conditions for the build up to the race weekend ahead, preparing Josh and Xentek to take on what was to offer in Qualifying and the 3 upcoming races. After a successful day testing, Josh was feeling confident heading into Qualifying. Unfortunately, on Josh’s fastest lap he was blocked into the last corner and could only achieve starting in P8 for Race 1 and P6 for Race 2.

In Race 1 Josh performed an amazing drive from P8 to P2 on the grid in 1 lap! Then as Josh went to make a dive for the inside on the leader into Turn 1, a big lock up caused him to run wide onto the grass and re-join the track down in P10. Josh then had to charge back through the field after a sudden safety car, achieving 5th place for Race 1.

After a frustrating Saturday, Josh was looking to pick up the pieces and make the most of the 2 Sunday races. Josh did just that, providing a flawless drive in both races and bringing back 2 wins and more championship points!

After Josh and Xentek Motorsport’s points haul and success at Donington Park, they are ready to take on Snetterton next!
