The second half of the season started at Castle Combe, a track where Josh has never previously been before. Josh’s first outing on the Friday showed good promise for the rest of the weekend as he was fastest all session long. Sunday morning started with wet weather conditions and mechanical problems which ended Josh’s qualifying session short. Josh ended qualifying with 6th place and a broken engine mount. Race 1 brought dry and wet conditions around the track so wet tyres was the appropriate tyre choice for everyone. Josh got a flying start off the line getting him into 4th place by the end of the straight, coming up to the first corner Josh saw a gap and went for it, making 2 places with a mega lunge and off Josh went to grab that second place on the podium. Race 2 was in dry conditions so he could push the car to its limits, by lap 3 Josh made his way into first place and lead the race with consistent lap times to grab his first ever Fiesta Junior victory. A big thanks to Mutation Motorsport for all their hard work and effort over the weekend to get that sweet victory.
